Fearless! Bold! Strategic!

With 2019 behind us, we must focus on the new season and the new assignments that God has given to us. Recognizing our identities in Christ and our authority we need to be as wise as serpents but as harmless as doves as stated in Matthew 10:16. We also have to remember when we encounter problems to look past the physical realm and into the spiritual realm for we see where it says in Ephesians 6:12 that:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

So how can we be fearless, bold, and be strategic in this new season? Today, we will cover how.

Using Discernment and Looking to the Prophetic Voice

We have to realize that when we encounter problems, it’s typically coming from the spiritual realm. We need to use discernment to recognize which enemy may come against us. If we lack discernment, we can always ask the Lord in prayer to identify the spirit that may be coming against us.

It’s also important to recognize that the Holy Spirit has given each believer in the body of Christ several spiritual gifts which we see in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 where it says:

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”

Those who are prophetic in the body of Christ may at times get messages of a warning against specific demonic spirits that have targeted the body of Christ. Whether you use discernment or hear from a prophetic person in the body of Christ, you should take action.

How you may ask?

Target Those That Are Coming Against the Body of Christ

Whether there is a spiritual attack coming against you, or against the whole body of Christ, we need to remember we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms and to be bold. (Ephesians 2:6; Proverbs 28:1) Christ has already given us all the power over the enemy with the promise that nothing will hurt us, and that no weapon formed against us would prosper and every tongue that rises against us in judgment He would condemn. (Luke 10:19, Isaiah 54:17)

We should immediately go on the offensive and target those demonic spirits coming against the body of Christ as God has promised he is with us and would strengthen us, and if God would be for us who could be against us. (Isaiah 41:10; Romans 8:31) These promises in scripture should give us great confidence making us fearless, as perfect love drives out fear. (1 John 4:17-18)

We will demonstrate how to use this offensive strategy against our spiritual enemy through a sample prayer. In our example, you can apply it to either method of discernment or a prophetic voice revealing what demonic spirit it is. As a note it helps if you have two or more people as Jesus is standing with us in agreement as stated in Matthew 18:19-20 that says:

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Heavenly Father,

I was made aware of the spirit of Jezebel coming against the body of Christ from (discernment/prophetic voice) and ask that you bind, blind, and mute this demonic spirit. Cast this spirit of Jezebel into the lake of fire before its appointed time mentioned in Revelation 20:10-15 for coming against the body of Christ.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Taking it Further by Destroying the Veil of Darkness and the Plans of the Enemy

We see that the veil of darkness is mentioned in 2 Corinthians 4:4 where it says:

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

This veil of darkness is a tool of the enemy as they have used it for thousands of years. So how do we deal with this veil of darkness? We ask the Heavenly Father to destroy it, plain and simple. In this manner, we will also direct our spiritual authority we have in Christ Jesus to ask the Father to also destroy the plans of the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy mentioned in John 10:10.

We know that our heavenly Father hears our prayers to destroy the veil of darkness and destroy the plans of the enemy as we confidently approach his throne as we see in 1 John 5:14 where it says:

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

We know that our heavenly Father doesn’t want anyone to perish and all to come to repentance as we see in 2 Peter 3:9. So when we ask that veil of darkness and the plans of the enemy be destroyed then this would fall within “His Will” because then men could come to Jesus as their Savior and Lord and grow in a relationship with Christ as he is the only way to the Father as stated in John 14:6.

We will now show you a sample prayer. However, let the reader know this, you have to be vigilant when praying this type of prayer, praying it daily as many die every day without knowing Christ as their savior and end up in hell. When you think about it, it’s not difficult to take a few minutes and add this to your daily prayer life.

Heavenly Father,

(I/We) confidently come before your throne as it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives within me from Galatians 2:20. I know you want all men to come to repentance as you say in 2 Peter 3:9, and I know the only way is through your son Jesus Christ mentioned in John 14:6.

(I/We) ask that you destroy the veil of darkness mentioned in 2 Corinthians 4:4 so men can come to salvation in your son Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. I also ask you to destroy all the plans of the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy from souls worldwide, again in order for all people to have that chance to come to Jesus as their Lord and Savior and grow in a relationship with him.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Final Thoughts

2020 starts a new year and a new decade of stepping up our strategic boldness for the body of Christ. Look past the physical realm into the spiritual realm identifying where the enemy is operating in the background and ask our Heavenly Father to destroy them, their plans, and the veil of darkness. Remind yourself of 1 John 5:14 that says:

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

We sit with Christ in heavenly places, let your confidence be in the Lord as greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. (Ephesians 2:6, 3:12; Isaiah 40:31, 41:10; 1 John 4:4) Stand on the promises of God and remember we have every promise in His word and remind yourself the enemy is already a defeated foe and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Colossians 2:15; Philippians 4:13)

This 2020, be fearless, be bold, be strategic for the Lord as He has promised to never leave us or forsake us and be there to strengthen us and renew our strength. (Hebrews 13:5)
